South Central Emergency Medical Services, Inc., your local community emergency medical services organization, is your primary response for any medical emergency. Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians staff our emergency units 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are ready for any emergency you might have. We are your "9-1-1 Connection!"

To help with the expense our patients face following an emergency which requires an ambulance, South Central EMS offers and Emergency Ambulance Membership for the residents of Lower Paxton, West Hanover, and East Hanover Townships, as well as those residing in the northern section of South Hanover Township, and the Boroughs of Middletown, Royalton, and Highspire.

The Yearly Ambulance Membership covers your costs for medically necessary ambulance services, as allowed under state and federal laws, within the geographic areas listed and includes both Advanced and Basic Life Support services. The Ambulance Membership covers all family members or individuals permanently residing at your home. The Membership revenues will also be used to cover your co-payment and deductible obligations for all medically necessary ambulance services for the membership year.

South Central EMS reserves the right to submit a bill to any available payment source for all ambulance calls.  Your will be responsible for paying all charges for all calls which are not medically necessary, and for all wheelchair / stretcher van calls. 

South Central EMS's Membership Program is not a contract for the provision of ambulance services.  A mutual aid ambulance may respond when our ambulance service is unavailable.  The Membership Program is not a solicitation for the offer or sale of an insurance product.  The terms and provisions of South Central EMS's Membership Program are subject to change without prior notice.

Medicare beneficiaries may be billed for co-payments or deductibles if required by law.  All Memberships are subject to acceptance by South Central EMS and may be cancelled or revoked in South Central EMS's sole discretion. 

We are a non-profit organization, dependent on your support from your emergency ambulance membership and your donations to maintain the level of quality personnel and equipment necessary to operate emergency response units that meet, and exceed, the state and federal requirements.
